Our Story
Where generational excellence began.
Since 1918, five generations of the Horst family have contributed to the family farm. In 1988, John Horst took a bold step of faith by purchasing a backhoe for a farm project. This decision proved to be the key that would spark the formation of J.A. Horst and Sons. Now, in addition to being a family farm, it has grown into a multifaceted business encompassing dairying, crop sales, Angus beef sales, and a wide variety of residential and commercial excavation services.
Today, John’s sons and grandsons carry on the tradition of serving the local community and beyond. With fresh ideas and a desire to build on the legacy of J.A. Horst and Sons, we will continue to meet the needs of people through faith-inspired excellence.
